Meta User Data Deletion Instructions

Effective date: 1 August 2026Last updated: 1 August 2026

How to disconnect Meta Lead Forms from KookaburraOS and request deletion of information processed through that integration.

1. About these instructions

This page applies to businesses and individuals whose information has been processed through the KookaburraOS Meta Lead Forms integration.

Kookaburra Operating System Pty Ltd, ABN 94 701 434 246, ACN 701 434 246, operating as KookaburraOS (“KookaburraOS”, “we”, “us” or “our”), provides these instructions so Meta users and affected individuals can disconnect the integration and request deletion of relevant information.

These instructions should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

2. Disconnect Meta from KookaburraOS

An authorised tenant administrator can disconnect Meta through:

KookaburraOS → Settings → Customer intake → Social & Listings → Disconnect

Disconnecting:

  • stops future retrieval of Meta Instant Form leads;
  • removes or invalidates stored Meta access credentials;
  • disables connected Page and form configuration; and
  • does not automatically erase historical inquiries or legally required business records.

3. Remove KookaburraOS from Facebook

You can also remove KookaburraOS access from Facebook:

Facebook → Settings and privacy → Settings → Business integrations → KookaburraOS → Remove

Removing the integration prevents future access. Users should still submit a deletion request for information already received and stored by KookaburraOS or the relevant business.

4. Request deletion of your information

To request deletion of information processed through the Meta Lead Forms integration, contact the KookaburraOS Privacy Officer at [email protected].

Please provide:

  • full name;
  • email address or phone number submitted through the Meta form;
  • name of the business or Facebook Page involved;
  • approximate date of the form submission; and
  • description of the information you want deleted.

We may need to verify the requester’s identity before taking action. Where the requested information forms part of a tenant’s Customer Data, we may refer the request to that business or assist it in responding, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

5. Information covered by a deletion request

Depending on the circumstances and what is technically available, a deletion request may concern:

  • Meta OAuth connection information;
  • connected Facebook Page and Instant Form configuration;
  • Meta access credentials;
  • Meta form answers and personal details;
  • Meta lead, Page, form, advertisement and campaign identifiers; and
  • related KookaburraOS inquiry information where deletion is lawful and technically possible.

6. Information we may retain

KookaburraOS or the tenant business may retain limited records where necessary for:

  • legal and regulatory compliance;
  • taxation and accounting obligations;
  • fraud and abuse prevention;
  • dispute resolution;
  • security and audit records; and
  • establishment or defence of legal claims.

Retained information will remain subject to the Privacy Policy.

7. Requests concerning a tenant business

KookaburraOS acts as a software platform for independent tenant businesses. The tenant business is normally responsible for deciding why lead information was collected and how it is used.

For Customer Data collected through a tenant’s Meta Instant Form, KookaburraOS generally acts as a technology service provider and processes the information on the subscribing business’s instructions.

A lead should normally contact the business whose Meta form they submitted. An individual seeking access to or deletion of information held by a subscribing business should ordinarily contact that business first.

KookaburraOS will assist with requests concerning data processed through the platform and will provide reasonable assistance to the business where required.
